A T.V obituary that I remember a lot is when Micheal Jackson died. I heard the announcement on the radio. I remember not believing he was dead. As the songs kept playing I thought about his life and everything he has done for music. I knew that even though he was no longer alive his music would live on. It was reported Micheal Jackson was addicted to medications. He took a lot of tranquilizers. I remember thinking why would he want to be on zombie mode so much with all the money he has. If I had his money I would travel and visit all around the world. It must have been difficult for him because everywhere he went crowds of people would follow him. Before his death he escaped this world through drugs. Micheal Jackson’s T.V obituaries were filled with great respect and honor. Almost every station had something to tribute to Micheal Jackson. I watched documentaries on how he inspired different artists today in music. It was interesting to hear different points of view and what pieces they took of his career that they incorporated into their own. I especially enjoyed the dancing tributes.
In Take the Cannoli, Sarah remembers the T.V. obituaries of Frank Sinatra. She remembers feeling unsatisfied with the choice of songs they used in the obituary. She knows all the stations are going to play the song “My Way”. She also agrees the song “Angel Eyes” would also be too obvious.
