Mark

I have two older siblings, Michael, my older brother who is 25, and Meaghan, my sister who is 23. I don’t really share a “friendship / bond” with my brother, but my sister and I are pretty close. Since my brother is so much older than me and very independent, we never bonded. He moved out when he was 18 and started working right away. I would consider him a genius. He knows everything about anything, which sometimes gets annoying. Michael always spent a lot of time on his education and sports. He was involved in everything; baseball, basketball, and football. He went to Marquette, a catholic private high school, along with my sister. Meaghan was also involved in a lot of sports. She has been in dance since she was 4, in volleyball, and poms. She did cheer her freshman year, but decided against it. I never really cared for sports. They are uninteresting and dangerous, in my opinion. I did enjoy dance though. I went to Patty Gray’s from 4 to 15, but I enjoyed tumbling the most. I ended up damaging my hamstring, due to not stretching beforehand, and I couldn’t do it any longer. It took forever to heal, and I didn’t want to risk anymore because I had broken my thumb prior to that, and my bones are always achy from dance. Basically, I’m the complete opposite of these two. They are “daddy’s kids” where I’m a “momma’s boy.”

I can relate to Sarah Vowell because she also differs from her twin sister, Amy. Amy has blonde hair and blue eyes and Sarah has dark hair and dark eyes. You wouldn’t be able to tell that they were twins by looking at them. Aside from their physical appearance, they both enjoy different things. Sarah likes to ask questions and be informed, where her sister just takes everything as it is. The book doesn’t really touch a lot of base on her sister’s interests, but from what was told I understand that they’re different. I believe it’s hard for me to gain a friendship with my siblings, because of the age difference and how different we are. I’m sure many people agree with this, unless you’re a part of the Kardashian family.
