This might be strange to you guys but I relax by sitting in my room listening to music with the head phones. I turn off all the lights, close all the blinds and just lay there in the dark looking into space rocking it out. It’s just so soothing. My parents would always ask me, “Why are you sitting in the dark?” I would always say because I like the dark. So for a short period of time they started thinking that I was Gothic or whatever. It was so funny but I just wanted to find a quiet dark area in my house to get away from the arguing and fighting going on outside of my room. I also relax by lifting weights and listening to metal. Lifting weights helps you relieve a lot of stress and plus makes you stronger.
My author Mark has one kind of similarity he uses to relax with me. He goes in his basement and practices his kung fu. I also go in my basement and lift weights. Mark also meditates to relax and watch Bruce lee films. He also looks at the stars with his father’s telescope that they went to but together. Now he goes to this kung fu school where he actually learns from a real kung fu trainer. I think this is more relaxing to him because it’s something he wants to do. Mark and I don’t really share exact relaxing similarities but they do favor a little. I also wanted to try meditating because it looks so peaceful. It’s like the person who’s meditating leaves their body and is just floating in the air or something. I think that would be really relaxing and keep your stress level down by a lot. But I wonder how they could just sit there being still like that for so long. I would really want to meditate one day.
I do the same thing. I love listening to music in the dark! Its extremely relaxing and it almost brings you into a whole new world.
