Hello Ladies and Gents!!
This week has been very overwhelming. I’m not really sure how to react. Everything is happening so fast. In a few weeks I will be a freshman at Columbia College. I’m a bit nervous but excited at the same time. This will all be a new experience for me. In addition, transitioning from high school to college would be sort of a challenge.
Not having teachers to remind me when something is due or reminding me that I must make up a test. This is when responsibility steps in, Showing that I have matured to be a successful college student. Two characteristics I feel that you will need in college are being determined and reaching out for help when needed. Those two qualities can be instrumental in helping you be successful. In college asking for help is a sign of maturity. Maintaining this skill will definitely help in the long run.
Being in bridge has really helped me focus on what I need to improve and not so much on what I don’t know. By saying that I mean that I have improved in what I have already learned in high school and it has helped prepare me for college level classes. I know it sounds strange but true. I really appreciate this experience and what I have gained from my teachers. Even when I didn’t understand my teachers were very patient and understanding. I really appreciate this because previous teachers did not understand. In conclusion this Is why I feel I have been successful so far because I have put forth the effort to one day become successful.
