Fitting in to a social group

A time where I tried fit in to a social group was when I was trying to fit in with my family in Korea. Back when I was young I did not know much about Korean culture, food, and the language that well. It was frustrating talking to my family, mostly because some of my cousins or my mom has to translate for me. I wanted to fit in with the family, so I learned Korean at Concordia Language Villages after my sophomore year. There I learned the language, ate the food, and learned the culture for a month. Even though I am not proficient yet in Korean I did learned a lot from them. After my experience at Concordia, I am now close to my family in Korea and admire what my nationality is. Sarah Vowell fit in with the band in her school. She loves to play the instruments with the whole group of individuals. It is her way of socializing not only by conversation but also by the rhythm of the music. Mostly the music is a great way of socializing because when Sarah plays her instrument the other band mates follow along to sync with the riff of the music. This is Sarah’s way of fitting in with a social group.
