Places

If I could travel anywhere in the world I would probably go to New Zealand. The reason why I say that is because New Zealand is home to some of the best mountains for snowboarding. The scenery is pristine and incredibly beautiful but it is also a great place to surf. I have friends that have gone there and said that it was one of the most beautiful places on earth. They have also told me about the people there and how resourceful they are. I think that if the character in my book was to travel anywhere it would be China. He would visit China so that he could truly experience the kung fu ways and practice with some of the best fighter in the west. Kung fu is an important part of culture in west China and has been around for thousands of years. If Mark really wants to immerse himself in the ways of kung fu he would go there. Just like me his passions will take him places.

For me my passion is snowboarding and one of the best places in the world for that is in New Zealand. Marks passion is kung fu and one of the best places to learn about it is in China, where it originated. I think that to some degree if mark were to embark on a kung fu journey to China he would need to be mentally and physically prepared, which he has trouble with when he is fighting in the martial arts center in Connecticut. Since Mark is at a slight disadvantage because of his size it might be hard for home to go up against the best in the world in kung fu. For me I would have to be both mentally and physically prepared for an exhibition into the New Zealand back country. I have been snowboarding for almost six years and I think that I personally would be able to do it; I would just need the proper equipment.
