Social Groups

I belong to an average number of social groups compared to most other people. There are many different social groups all over the world and many are made and created daily. There is a social group for almost every small to large thing that a person is involved in or does. A main social group in which I belong would be Columbia College Chicago. This is so because I attend the school which makes me instantly apart of this social group. Another social group I’m apart of is the music artist. Being a music producer, song writer, and recording artist, it is simple to say that I’m a member of this social group as well. Besides those two groups I’m also a member of the social group of sports lovers because I was raised watching different sports and even playing different sports such as; football, basketball, baseball and soccer.
The ‘Lost boys’ in my book title They Poured Fire on Us from the Sky, are also members of a few social groups though they come from a totally different part of the world on the continent of Africa. These three boys can be seen as a member of a social group of Refugees. Being on the run for their life due to an invasion of their home land, they were forced to find new, safer grounds to get comfortable again. They struggled to fit into this group however because they were seen as dead weight to a lot of these camp leaders. Another group in which these boys are a part of could be hunters. This is so because at a young age these boys were taught by their father and other relatives how to catch and kill animals for food and other needs ranging from tools to clothing. Social groups are found just about everywhere and can be made for just about anything.
