Escape!!

The Escape

The last chapter I remembered reading about was the Escape of Palataka. In this chapter it focuses mainly on how and why the boy planned to escape. When I began reading I instantly knew that it would be very attention-grabbing. One night a young man named of Joseph though of a plan. He had decided to head back to Torit. Speaking to another young man he replies ‘We have to get out of here tonight”. The young man was very afraid because he knew that it would be consequences if they were caught being beating as an example to the other lost boys. So instead he decided to go on with his plan leaving the other young man behind. Packing his belongings quietly Joseph heads out. Joseph felt really bad because he left but he felt this was something he had to dark.

Leaving home for college was a challenge for me just as it was for Joseph having to leave someone behind. That someone in my situation is my mother. I was sadden that I had to leave her because I am her only child and I know that it would be a hard situation for the both of us to cope with because it was all so new to us. So I feel that in this point of the story he felt bad for leaving one of the boys behind. It was very dark. The group of boys began travel to head back but there we a few problem. They took the wrong way. Joseph was the youngest out the ten boys who has decided to escape, so every time he would try to explain to them that he knew the way they would tell him to be silent because he was too young and didn’t know anything.

So instead they did it their way and it didn’t work as planned. So eventually they decided to follow Joseph because at this point if they were caught they would be in severe trouble with the guards. Two of the boys went their way and the other eight followed Joseph. They began walking in grass with sharp stalks they had no shoes just bare feet, the stalk cutting their feet as they walk some grew thirsty and others grew very weak because of the long walk. In another case I can relate to this situation to by me being the youngest of my family and no one want to listen to me. So in closing this is what I’ve recently read and wanted to share with you guys.
