Hello Dolls and Gents!!
How are you? Today has been very interesting. We were giving a choice between two topics to write about. The topic I have chosen to write about is parent embarrassments. I’ve chosen this topic because I have had a lot of embarrassing moments dealing with my parents. My most embarrassing moment was when my mom use to always make me sing any and every where.
In the most inappropriate places such as bathrooms, library’s restaurants I think you get where I’m going with this. She would make me sing anywhere she could think of. I remember people would walk in stop and stare or even turn around and began to make comments not knowing if their good or bad. One time she made me sing in the library and we were asked to step out because she did it so much it became a common thing. How EMBARRASING! I can totally relate to my character by being embarrassed because there were several situations where his father has done things to embarrass him.
An example that my character dealt with was that his father never bought him clothes because he said that he was too young and that he didn’t need anything because being naked was a beautiful thing. Also he was made fun of because he wasn’t circumcised which played a part of him feeling that way. I feel that if his father had bought him garments to wear I think that he wouldn’t have had to deal with being teased. In saying that the character and I have had our parents embarrass us in different ways but yet they are still similar. Having to deal with that wasn’t really a struggle for me but I feel that my character had to deal with his situation in a different way. In conclusion this is why this author and I connect.
