shawn khan - Lost in place

The book that I chose was lost in place it’s about Mark Salzman who wants to be a wandering Zen monk, he looks up to Brue lee the book is just as I thought it would be about kung fu the character in the book does practices of kung fu in the basement and set it up in way can also meditate. I have interest in the book because it’s about martial arts and I have some sort of interest into martial arts. The book so far is ok it’s only the beginning and has caught my attention. I have always grown up and heard stories and seen movies of Bruce lee and a character that is interested and looks up to a great fighter is something that is like a moving inspiration on a person’s life. Mark is so dedicated into the art that he fell apart when he heard that Bruce died. His parents aren’t really towards him doing martial arts but he is so highly motivated that he tries his hardest to the best he can and spend as much time as he can practicing. In a text he said that on a sunny day he sits in the crawl basement and meditates and on rainy days he sits in the mud and practices his punches and kicks to show that he is really dedicated and he will work in different work conditions to get better at what he does. The part in the book that really related to me and caught my attention was when he made silent vows to Bruce that he will never give up until he was kung fu master; it shows that mark has a real strong passion for what he does. It related to me because I feel the same way in audio and I want to be known and not give up in any sort of way.
