Family to me is really important bonding with your family and spending quality time with each other is good. A person should have a really close relationship with their parents so the child can talk to them and knows he can go to his parents whenever he needs them. In lost in his place mark has a relationship with his dad where they spend time together and communicate, marks father takes mark to the movies to see the Chinese connection. I and my dad never really had a bond where we do father and son things or play sports, I always grew up being a momma’s boy. My mom has always been there for me when I needed her weather it was figuring out why girls are so confusing or if it was about school or any other issue. I grew up around being close with my cousins we would have family BBQ or something the cousins would do together but the adults in my family always had arguments and it would lead into the kids not meeting and it would be like for a couple of days it would be like for years. 2 years ago I moved out to go stay with my girl and it really drove me and my parents apart because I’m an only child and me leaving made the house really empty and quiet. There’s a passage in the book where mark and his family have breakfast and find out news about Bruce passing away I remember having Sunday breakfast or we would go out and eat on weekend with my parents, it was a way for us to get together and talk about things we don’t on a weekly basis.
