If I were to be friends with the author
If I and the author were to be friends, the one thing we would have in common is that we both did not fit in while we were growing in our homelands. Sarah could not fit in with the people of Bozeman, Montana because the people there adore making and firing firearms. She had a hard time until she eventually fit in because she adored the cannon that her father made. The way I had a hard time fitting in was when I first came to Chicago when I was three. I could not fit in because I could not speak English and it took me till fifth grade to adapt with other people. Sarah loved to play musical instruments, she is in the school band and she sounds phenomenal in what she does. As for me I love to dance, it is what I want to do for a living for my life. Another thing we have a little bit in common is that we both do artistic activities. This is why I would like to be friends with the author.

Your connection is good. Keep working on getting to 300 words, Jason. Do your best to quickly get your ideas written so that you can spend some time expanding and revising them.
