Jason Lee
Hi my name is Jason Lee I was raised here in Chicago, Illinois. I was originally born in San Francisco, California but I eventually moved to Korea with my mother. When I turned 3, me and my mother moved to Chicago because my mother wanted me to have a better education in America rather than in Korea. As I grew up in the city of Chicago it became a struggle because I did not speak English when I came here. It has affected me throughout elementary and high school because I have expressive and receptive language disorder. Other individuals throughout elementary and high school know me as a nice kid, really interested in Korean culture, learn new things, really active to sports, and mostly know me better as a dancer. I started out as a hockey player till sophomore year due to injury, later I decided to join my school dance club because I need something to do to keep me active. I did not know I would be good at dancing and eventually got into it. My dancing career has been going for the past three years in hip-hop and some jazz. I hope I would like to get to know everyone and the staff here at Columbia when I start the semester as a dance student.
